That's great if you want to charge it for a holiday and not worry about having it run out of battery. On a single charge, if you read two hours a day, the Kindle Oasis can easily last you two weeks. The battery life on any Kindle device is remarkable and the same can be said about the Kindle Oasis too. This is a book on astrophysics that I would not normally buy, however the Kindle store made it very easy and accessible for me to read the book. For example, I bought Welcome to the Universe: An Astrophysical Tour by Neil deGrasse Tyson from the Kindle Store in seconds. The biggest advantage of owning a Kindle is the ability to read books that you would never think of buying from bookstores. If you really love reading on the go, you can always get the 4G model for streaming audio and downloading books on the move. If you like to listen to an audiobook and read the book at the same time, we recommend you get the 32GB model for extra storage space. If you have audible books in your library, the Kindle will combine with your Kindle books, and if you have both versions, then you can easily flip between listening and reading. This comes in handy if you either want to listen to music or audiobooks while reading. Having said that, not much has changed in the software front apart from the fact that you can now pair wireless earphones with it. We talk about how you can use the Kindle to read books on the fly and why it is the most precious gadget to own. In fact, we talked about our entire experience in detail here. Well, any Kindle is an absolute delight to own as it encourages people to read more books than they would. We would have loved to see it work as fast as phones, however, for now it does the job. Again, we've been using this feature on smartphone for ages, however this is the first time we've seen it on a Kindle device. The display also has an auto-brightness option which basically changes the brightness level according to your environment. We've already seen this feature on smartphones and it's great to see that the Kindle Oasis also has this feature now. The warm light makes it easier to read in the dark with less strain on the eyes. Like other Kindle devices, the Oasis still uses the E Ink display, however the 25 LED front lights makes the screen even brighter. The only upgrade in this department is really the addition of warm light on the screen. It is large enough to get enough content on the screen and the text appears to have better spacing between them, making it easier to read. The Kindle Oasis easily has the best display we've seen on an e-reader yet. Which means that if you like to read by the pool or in your bathroom in the morning, the Kindle Oasis is a safe bet. It can now survive being submerged in 2 metres of water for an hour. The biggest upgrade on the new Kindle Oasis is its IPX8 rating. Naturally, the Kindle Oasis is a bit lopsided due to the wedge design which can be easily offset by a decent cover available on Amazon. Having an aluminium body makes the Kindle Oasis super light, however we do recommend getting a cover for the device as the uneven weight distribution can be tricky. It is by far the best e-reader design you will come across and it also gives the ultra-premium feel you may want from your e-reader. The area is ergonomically designed to fit in the palm of your hands so that your thumbs fall right at the physical buttons for flipping pages. It has a super-thin body and the wedged design is meant for people who like to hold an e-reader with one hand. The wedge design of the Kindle Oasis makes a return as the design didn't really need any changes. The display now comes with warmer colours and the panel itself makes it easier for readers to use before going to bed at night. While the new Kindle oasis has the same wedge design as the previous model, there are some upgrades that might interest you if you are looking to buy an e-reader. Amazon recently launched the new Kindle Oasis variant in India and we've been using it for the past month to read some of our favourite books.
